Backyard Bliss
This busy family with four kids needed their backyard to function better for their lifestyle. We utilized the existing detached garage and transformed the space into the ultimate guest house and pool house. The space consists of a small office, living room, kitchenette, guest bedroom, bathroom and laundry closet. The kitchenette features a snack-bar style window that opens and folds back to allow direct access to the barstool seating area on the covered patio. Friends and family can hop right up to the bar straight from the pool without getting the inside of the pool house wet!
Relaxing on the covered patio is the ultimate staycation with a grill, pizza oven, firepit, lounge area and dining area. Why go anywhere else? The view to the new pool says it all….swim and play and stay all day. The new pool and pavers connect the main house to each of the outdoor spaces. The pool remains the main focal point from all angles. Warm up by the firepit in the Adirondack chairs. Catch some rays by the pool in the outdoor lounge chairs or cool down in the shade under the covered patio. The options are endless!
The best part is if there’s a need to stay close to the main house, the homeowners can perch on their covered back porch and overlook the entire backyard while monitoring the kids at the same time.
